- The garden and the striped courtyard are free and open to everyone, but they are a walled estate with gates that are locked overnight, and the posted hours are the gates rather than the shops. The arcade boutiques keep their own shorter hours and most close on Sundays; the palace itself houses the Conseil d'État and is not open to visitors.
