- Book a timed entry online — same-day tickets rarely exist. Closed Tuesdays, and on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. Wednesday and Friday run late into the evening, which is the calmest way to see the place; last entry is an hour before closing and the rooms are cleared thirty minutes before that. The Cour Napoléon around the pyramid is public ground and stays open into the evening after the museum has shut.
