Opening hours
  • Thu09:30–21:45

Admission
Book a timed slot online; the Thursday late opening is the quiet one and runs to 21:45. Closed Mondays, 1 May and 25 December. Last admission is an hour before closing — forty-five minutes before on the Thursday late night. The museum's public areas are being rebuilt in phases through 2028; it stays open throughout, but the door you use changes as the work advances, and timed tickets currently go in by the quayside entrance. Follow the signs on the day rather than an old map.
