- The piazza and the whole view of the fountain are free at any hour. The walled enclosure right at the water, where the coins are thrown, costs €2 for non-residents, on a one-way route in from Via della Stamperia and out on Via dei Crociferi. It opens 09:00 to 22:00 Tuesday to Sunday and 11:30 to 22:00 on Mondays, with last entry at 21:00 every day; some Mondays open later still, at 14:00, for maintenance. Outside those hours the barriers come down and the basin is free again. Free entry for residents of Rome with ID, children under six, visitors with a disability and one companion, licensed guides and Roma MIC card holders. Booking is not required.
