A walking game across Rudolf II's Prague — the emperor who filled his court with alchemists, stargazers and charlatans. Seven riddles lead you from the Old Town's coronation gate, over Charles Bridge and into the Lesser Town, ending on the cobbled climb toward the castle: a little over three kilometres. Solve each one, prove you're there, move on. Hints are available whenever you're stuck — they just cost you points.
That is the game. A hunt tells you nothing but the first riddle; the place it points at is what you work out, and printing the list here would be printing the answers. What we will say is the shape of it: 7 riddles, 3.2 km, about 2 h, and every stop is somewhere you can reach and see without paying an admission.
The clock, the bridge and the millers' island, free — three of twenty-three.
The Alchemist's Trail opens on these two. Five more come after them.
Every landmark, church, park and viewpoint worth your time, on one map.
