Strahov Monastery Library
Two baroque halls of books, one of them built to fit its own second-hand shelves.
Opening hours, admission and address
- Address
- Strahovské nádvoří 1/132, Hradčany
- Opening hours
- Mon–Sun09:00–17:00
- Admission
- Ticketed at the desk inside the gate or booked on the monastery's own site; the desk stops selling about three quarters of an hour before closing, and last entry is half an hour before. Know this before you go: the monastery states plainly that the ordinary ticket does not include going into the halls — you look in from the doorways, and the photograph everyone has seen was taken from that threshold. Ask at the desk about the photography permit, which is sold separately.
