- Those are the buildings; the grounds themselves are open from six in the morning until ten at night, and walking through the courtyards is free. The cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St George's Basilica and Golden Lane need a circuit ticket, and the ticket offices stop selling shortly before the buildings close. St Vitus does not open until noon on Sundays, so a Sunday morning gets you the courtyards and nothing more. The blanket security screening at the gates ended in 2023 — expect only spot checks now, though bulky luggage is still turned away at the entrances.
