- Entry is free and no ticket is sold; booking a free timed slot on the official site is optional and skips a queue that runs to hours in season. Thursday evenings stay open late, and last entry is thirty minutes before closing. The tower climb is ticketed separately and booked through its own site. The square and quays around the cathedral are a building site while the new esplanade is dug and laid, so the approach shifts; the cathedral itself is unaffected.
