- Walking under the arch to the tomb and the eternal flame is free and needs no booking; only the rooftop terrace is ticketed, and it is worth booking online in season. Last admission is forty-five minutes before closing, and on Tuesdays the monument opens an hour late at 11:00. Ceremonies close it on 1 and 8 May, 14 July and the morning of 11 November.
