- Free. The neighbourhood is ordinary city street and the beach behind it is public; both are open at any hour, with no ticket and nothing to book. Lifeguards work the beach only during the bathing season and only in daylight, and outside those hours you swim at your own risk. The showers and public toilets along the sand are seasonal too. The bars on the beachfront and the seafood restaurants on Passeig Joan de Borbo keep their own hours, and most stop serving lunch in the middle of the afternoon. Two practical warnings: the beach and the narrow streets behind it are a well known spot for bag theft, so leave nothing on a towel, and this is a residential quarter where late-night noise is policed.
