Cotroceni Palace

A royal palace over a 17th-century monastery — now the president's seat.

Opening hours, admission and address

Address
Bulevardul Geniului 1
Opening hours
  • Tue–Sun09:00–17:00
Admission
Closed Mondays, and the last visitors are admitted around four, an hour before the doors shut. On weekdays there is a choice: a guided tour in a group of no more than fifteen, which leaves at fixed times through the day and has to be booked by phone or email beforehand, or an unguided walk-through that needs no reservation. At weekends there are no guided tours — you buy at the desk and walk through. Bring a passport or ID card either way: this is also the president's residence, and security will ask for it.
